Have you ever wondered what it’s like to dive with flashlights, take digital pictures underwater or float effortlessly like an astronaut? PAID Seal Team is a scuba diving adventure. It is for children who are looking for action packed fun in a pool. Children will learn scuba diving skills and learn about the aquatic realm while completing 5 fun aqua missions. It is an ideal preparation for future PADI courses.

Who should take this program?

To join the PADI Seal Team, a child must be 8 years of age or older. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but kids should be comfortable in the water. Parental approval is required.

What will you learn?
The PADI Seal Team program teaches responsibility and respect for the aquatic realm. Each mission will teach the children different skills that are needed to become a scuba diver; they will also play games that reinforce these new skills while having fun. Each aqua mission takes one hour and thirty minutes.

Aqua mission 1 focuses on how to breathe underwater, communicate underwater using hand signals, and how to keep their ears comfortable (equalising) while diving.
Aqua mission 2 teaches the children how to equalise their mask, and how to recover and clear water out of their regulator.
Aqua mission 3 shows the children how to get water out of their mask, how to float comfortably on the surface in the scuba gear, and how to use an alternate air source (often called Octopus).
Aqua mission 4 emphasises buoyancy control underwater, and other ways to recover and replace the regulator back into their mouth.
Aqua mission 5 teaches the kids how to snorkel both with and without their scuba gear, how to switch between their snorkel and regulator, and practise everything they have learned.

Complete these AquaMissions and become a recognized PADI Seal Team Member and receive your own Seal Team card. Your experience may also count toward the PADI Open Water Diver course when you’re old enough to participate in the course.
